High Hot Wear Resistance Tool Steel AISI H13 Flat Bar Flat Steel
Product Introduction
H13 tool steel is air-hardening, hot work 5% chrome tool steel. It combines excellent shock and abrasion resistance with good red hardness making it ideal for use in die casting. Most commonly used in plastic molds and die casting, its ability to withstand rapid cooling from high working temperatures also make it a prime choice for use in extrusion dies. While designed to be a versatile hot work grade, H13 tool steel has been useful in cold work applications as well, particularly when extra toughness is desired but wear resistance is not important. Other applications include: trimming dies, extrusion dies, forging dies, die casting, forming punches, hot shear blades and mold dies. Common trade names include Dievac, Viscount, Thyrotherm 2344, Cromo-High V, Firechrome 44, Hotform V, VAD13, Potomac M, Thermold H 13, VDC, Hot Form V, Dica B Vanadium, Nu-Die V, Firedie 13, 883. H13 plates and flats are supplied in a decarb free and annealed condition.
2344 classified as a hot work steel in the class of Cr-Mo-V. It is widespread used in various industry.Suitable for hot work mold in every categoris, steel, plastic, glass. Moreover, it also well known for making of cutting tool for thicker gauge steel. To be part of mold and tooling. Thanks to its suitable chemical composition from 0.4 carbon which help enhance strength whilst hardening at high temperature. Content of Chromium 5 % benefit in standing for high temperature during work. Also, hardening with air is possible and give good deed for maintaining it's size/dimension tolerance. Silicon 1.0% help resistance of oxide at high temp. Molybdinum and vanadium help maintain its strength at high temp. Specially on Vanadium result in high abrasive resistance. With our special production blend, the grain size is so small that the structure is homogenize with precision, this help benefit in high strength and tensile during its work load.
