Firefox is an Indian bike manufacturer that design a range of cycle for various terrains. And when it comes to hybrid bikes, Firefox has always set new standards with precision, and with the sparkling Volante, they intend to do the same hang on to read more.

Volante is loaded with specs and it’s pretty promising. let’s dig in to know more: -

Volante has one of the nicest frames ever built by Firefox. Made from alloy 6061, the bicycle is light and surely stands out with the premium matt paint finish, we received the Bright Mustard Yellow for review. Weighing just around 13kgs the bike is as good as any other imported brand. What makes this bicycle even more killer is the internal cable routing and mechanism that it has to offer in its segment.

As a performance-oriented hybrid, the lightweight frame offers an upright position making it ideal for endless hours of cycling.

The Volante is paired with an Alloy rigid fork, that does the job brilliantly of absorbing vibrations and makes the bike even faster. Besides, as the fork is rigid, it requires no maintenance except regular cleaning.

To make things better, the bike is equipped with a zoom alloy 660mm handlebar that further enhances the ride quality by offering an open chested posture in a sporty way though. This even makes climbing much easier for all riders.

Overall, the Firefox volante frame is a 9.5/10

When it comes to performance, what you need is smooth and responsive shifting for all its riders. And keeping that in mind, Firefox offers Shimano’s Acera at the rear and a Shimano’s Altus in the front. With the 3X9 gearing option, volante offers a wide array of gears for inclines, declines, and flats.

These gears are controlled by the Altus shifters that are really gleaming and offer a responsive and quick-shifting experience. When we took it on the road, we had nothing to complain about when it comes to the shifting as it was on point. It definitely deserves a 10/10.

We had a slightly different opinion, The bike does not stay behind when it comes to stopping, but the front desk makes it a little more venerable. Powered with Tektro V brakes, the volante offers great stopping power at high speeds or in case of emergency. On our off-roading - ride, the brakes were equally good as any mechanical disc brake system. This gave us a lot of confidence to ride downhill as well as on wet roads, but having said that, it could have been overall better.

Bright and beastly Volante comes with 700X 35 C kind of nylon tires that offer good traction while riding on city roads. It is sleek and makes the bike run even more powerful Besides, these Tyres are mounted over sturdy double-walled alloy rims that do an incredible job on our Indian roads. It’s like a bull on the run.

We personally really enjoyed the smooth and fast ride quality the volante had to offer on urban roads. What makes it special is the overall appeal.

The ergonomically designed saddle came with a wide nose and a narrow rear that’s stylish and comes with cushioning. This keeps the rider feeling comfortable, however, if you are on the heavier side, the saddle might just appear too small for you. In that case, pair it with a good set of bib shorts and there’s no stopping your ride.

We have jotted a few links to cycling accessories for our riders in our description below. Must recommend ones to buy as per your requirements if need be.

I must say that overall bike quality was brilliant and enticing, however, Firefox missed out on a trick. The grips were pretty ok and we would surely prefer something much better. As the rider is always in contact with the grips and makes it difficult to shift the gears, personally the gap between the gear and grip hold is a bit too much for a long fleet ride.

A conclusive decision, the Firefox came with plastic pedals that were pretty strong and sturdy. It could take the beating while pedaling hard and fast without any issues. Besides that, we also didn’t experience our foot slipping off the pedal.

We would recommend the Volante, overall, the bike is a total value for money and will surely win your heart.

In case you are looking for a reliable performance hybrid bicycle that is suitable for long-distance cycling, the Firefox Volante is for you there’s no two doubt about that.
