Ever wondered what the name ‘Arket’ means? Well wonder no more. It actually means ‘sheet of paper’ in Swedish, a nod to the enduring nature and functional nature of the items sold in the store.

Arket is indeed owned by the H&M group, a Swedish powerhouse that also owns other beloved high-street brands H&M Home, COS, & Other Stories, Monki, Weekday and Cheap Monday.

Products are made to be loved for a lifetime, and are made using carefully sourced materials, such as organic or recycled cotton or cotton sourced through the Better Cotton Initiative. Arket has also committed to using 100 percent more sustainably sourced materials by 2030 and becoming fully climate-positive by 2040. This means reducing more greenhouse gas emissions than its value chain emits – all the way from cotton farms to the customers’ washing machines.

A masterpiece in pattern-cutting, the ARKET and Pia Wallén coat is a fabulous creation. Its construction defies common structures and the luxurious boiled wool fabric challenges the idea of a sturdy winter coat with its incredibly soft feel. Woven in an Italian mill specialised in woollen outerwear fabrics since the 1960s, the fabric is unexpectedly buttery, despite its thickness, for the most wonderful feeling when worn.

This oversized, menswear-inspired shirt is fashioned from pure linen with a natural drape. A large pointed collar and wide, buttoned cuffs accentuate the roomy fit.

Crafted from a flannel fabric made of RWS certified wool, these trousers feature barrel-shaped legs that are cut at an ankle length. An easy pull-on style with an elasticated waist, slanted front pockets and a single welt pocket at the back.
